Amends the Children's Ombudsman Act to add a new subsection (6) allowing the ombudsman to provide a copy of investigation reports with all confidential information redacted to the legislative child fatality examiner for purposes of the legislative child fatality review act.

Renumbers the existing annual reporting requirement to the governor, department director, and legislature as subsection (7) instead of subsection (6).

Maintains existing protections prohibiting the ombudsman from releasing information that would endanger the health or welfare of a child or other individual.

Becomes effective only if Senate Bill 259 or House Bill 5702 of the 95th Legislature is enacted into law.
