School district election coordinating committees must hold an initial meeting within 30 days and file a report with the secretary of state describing election arrangements within 14 days.

Until December 31, 2012, committees must meet every 2 years to review and alter election arrangements if necessary; beginning January 1, 2013, meetings occur every 4 years or as needed.

Election arrangements must ensure electors voting in both school district and overlapping jurisdiction elections can vote at the same location without visiting two different polling places.

City or township clerks who notify the committee of intent to participate must be included in reports as the persons conducting school district elections in their jurisdictions.

When a city or township holds an election simultaneously with a school district election, the city or township clerk must conduct the school election using the same precincts as state and federal elections.
