Amends MCL 46.16c to change the township board election for consolidated townships from August primary elections to May primary elections.

Requires the county clerk to notify township clerks of consolidation election dates and questions, with elections scheduled on or before May 1 in general election years.

Specifies that consolidated township board elections at the next May primary and November general elections replace the separate elections of the townships being consolidated.

Requires majority approval of consolidation by electors in each township separately before the county board of commissioners can approve the consolidation by resolution; approved consolidations become effective at 12 p.m. on November 20 following the election.
