Establishes requirement for all public schools to provide programs of physical education and health education for pupils of both sexes.

Requires grades K-5 to provide at least 150 minutes of physical education per full school week for the entire school year.

Requires grades 6-12 to provide at least 225 minutes of physical education per full school week for the entire school year.

Requires all grade levels to provide at least 50 hours of health education each school year.

Allows school districts to credit participation in extracurricular athletics or other physical activities toward meeting physical education requirements, and permits superintendent approval of alternative schedules for schools using block scheduling if they provide equivalent weekly physical education minutes.
