Amends the Youth Employment Standards Act to change the language for temporary work permits from "shall be" to "is" valid for 10 days from the date of issue.

Adds a new exemption from work permit requirements for minors performing unpaid volunteer work for organizations recognized as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3).

Maintains existing exemption for minors 13 years or older employed in farming operations involving detasseling, roguing, hoeing, or similar seed production activities during school vacation periods or when not regularly enrolled in school.

Requires employers to keep evidence of age on file for minors employed under the farming operations exemption, established per section 5(b) of the act.

Clarifies that work permit exceptions do not provide exemptions from any other provisions of the Youth Employment Standards Act.
