Senate Bill 1517 Summary

• Amends Michigan's sentencing guidelines (MCL 777.16l) to add or modify felony offense classifications under Chapter 750 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

• Updates false pretenses offense penalties with increased statutory maximums: offenses involving $1,000-$20,000 carry 5-year maximum; $20,000-$50,000 carry 10-year maximum; $50,000-$100,000 carry 15-year maximum; and $100,000 or more carry 20-year maximum.
