Amends the nonprofit health care corporation reform act to define "certified professional midwife" as an individual credentialed by the North American Registry of Midwives.

Requires group and nongroup health insurance certificates covering obstetrical and gynecological services to include coverage for services performed by nurse midwives and certified professional midwives acting within their scope of license, specialty certification, or national certification.

Mandates coverage for all maternity services and gynecological services during pre- and post-natal care and delivery performed by physicians, nurse midwives, or certified professional midwives regardless of whether delivery occurs in a hospital, birth center, or home.

Takes effect March 1, 2011.
