Minors 16 years or older cannot work more than 6 days per week, an average of 8 hours per day, or 10 hours in a single day.

Student minors in school cannot work more than 24 hours per week during the school year, but may work up to 48 hours per week when school is not in session.

General prohibition on employing minors 16 and older between 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., with exception allowing student workers until 11:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and school vacation periods.

Agricultural and seed production employers may exceed standard hour limits if conditions are met: minor works maximum 11 hours per day and 62 hours per week (48 hours without minor's consent), not employed between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., and parent/guardian written consent is obtained.

Defines "agricultural processing" as cleaning, sorting, or packaging of fruits or vegetables, and "seed production" as farming activities including detasseling, hand-pollination, roguing, and hoeing for commercial seed production.
