Consolidates the twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth districts effective April 1, 2012, with the twenty-sixth district abolished and its judge transferring to the twenty-fifth district, reducing the twenty-fifth district from 3 judges to 2 judges effective April 2, 2012.

Consolidates the forty-fifth-a and forty-fifth-b districts effective July 1, 2012, creating a new forty-fifth district comprised of Berkley, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, and Royal Oak township with 3 judges initially, reducing to 2 judges upon a vacancy or when an incumbent ceases seeking reelection.

Reduces judgeships in multiple districts through attrition: the thirty-third district from 3 to 2 judges, the forty-fourth district from 2 to 1 judge effective January 2, 2013, the forty-eighth district from 3 to 2 judges, and the fiftieth district from 4 to 3 judges.

Reduces the fourth division of the fifty-second district from 3 to 2 judges effective January 1, 2013 at noon.

Allows the forty-fifth-a and forty-fifth-b district control units to submit an alternative judicial reorganization plan approved by the state court administrative office by July 1, 2012, as an alternative to the consolidation provisions.
