Amends Michigan's insurance code (1956 PA 218) to modify licensing and regulatory requirements for insurance adjusters and producers, effective December 27, 2012.

Expands exemptions from adjuster licensure to include individuals who collect and enter claim information under supervision of licensed independent adjusters or insurer employees, including those working with automated claims adjudication systems.

Prohibits the commissioner from issuing adjuster licenses to residents of states that deny comparable licenses to Michigan residents solely based on residency, and to employees of such adjusters.

Clarifies that nonresident Canadian residents cannot receive nonresident adjuster licenses unless they hold a resident license from another state or have declared another state as their home state.

Defines key terms including "home state" for adjusters and expands the definition of "limited lines insurance" to include various specialized insurance types.
