Prohibits candidates and persons acting on their behalf from soliciting or accepting campaign contributions in facilities owned or leased by the state or public bodies.

Exempts contributions solicited or accepted in state or public facilities that are primarily used as family dwellings and are not used for fund-raising events.

Exempts contributions solicited or accepted in state or public facilities if all candidates have equal opportunity to use the facility.

Establishes violation as a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 90 days or a fine of not more than $1,000, or both.
