Establishes a farm-to-school grant program administered by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to encourage schools to purchase farm products from local farmers and producers.

Grants may fund equipment, resources, training, or materials for school food service programs, with a maximum of $15,000 per grant applicant.

Program may be funded through state appropriations, federal grant programs, private donations, or other sources.

Department shall identify local farmers and farm product suppliers in school vicinity, disseminate food procurement information, and assist schools in obtaining local farm products.

Department may promulgate rules in consultation with farmers, producers, and schools to establish grant award criteria and program administration procedures.
