Amends the search warrant statute (MCL 780.652a) to authorize courts to issue search warrants for DNA evidence (hair, tissue, blood, or other fluid samples) when there is probable cause to believe an individual violated specific criminal sexual conduct statutes.

Permits DNA collection from three categories: the accused individual, any child born as a result of the violation, and remains of an unborn child if the pregnancy was terminated before birth.

Applies to violations of MCL 750.520b(1)(b)(ii) or (h)(i), MCL 750.520c(1)(b)(ii) or (h)(i), and MCL 750.520d(1)(d) of the Michigan Penal Code.

Does not restrict courts from issuing search warrants for other evidence they deem appropriate.

Effective only if Senate Bill No. 596 of the 96th Legislature is enacted into law.
