State board of education must develop and maintain a nutrition and physical activity best practices database containing wellness-related fitness testing results from school districts.

Database must include information on successful nutrition and physical activity programs and policies implemented by school districts, including program descriptions, implementation advice, assessments, and district contact information.

State board shall make the database readily accessible to all school districts and encourage districts to submit information for inclusion.

State board may promulgate rules necessary to administer the database.

State board is not required to establish the database until it has secured all funding necessary to meet the requirements of this section.
