Prohibits state agencies, political subdivisions, state/local employees, and Michigan National Guard members from assisting federal armed forces in investigating, prosecuting, or detaining U.S. citizens under Section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 if such assistance would violate the U.S. Constitution, Michigan Constitution of 1963, or state law.

Exempts participation in joint task forces, partnerships, or cooperative agreements with federal law enforcement from the prohibition, provided those agreements are not specifically for investigating, prosecuting, or detaining persons under Section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.

Applies to all state agencies, political subdivisions, their employees acting in official capacity, and Michigan National Guard members on official state duty.
