Prohibits taking fish using grab hooks, snag hooks, gaff hooks, set lines, night lines, nets, firearms, explosives, or other unauthorized means except single line or single rod and line with natural or artificial bait for still fishing, ice fishing, casting, or trolling

Limits anglers to no more than 3 single lines or 3 single rods and lines with a maximum of 6 hooks total across all lines; department may reduce rod limit to no less than 2 rods per angler

Allows unlimited hooks on a single line for taking smelt, alewife, or other bait fish in Great Lakes or recognized smelt waters

Requires name and address of owner marked in legible English on tip-ups or similar ice fishing devices

Authorizes department of natural resources to issue orders regulating fish taking by spear, bow and arrow, crossbow, and nets in state waters
