Mobile dental facilities must obtain 2-year permits from the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and have a licensed dentist or nonprofit corporation as the operator in charge at all times.

Operators must submit memorandums of agreement with nearby dentists (within 50-100 mile radius depending on peninsular location) to ensure patients receive follow-up care and comprehensive dental services.

Mobile dental facilities must maintain specified equipment and infrastructure including sterilization systems, potable water, toilet facilities, accessibility ramps, radiographic equipment, and emergency communication devices.

Exempts federal, state, and local government agencies, federally qualified health centers, and dental school affiliates from permit requirements; requires annual reporting on patient numbers, service locations, and types of dental services provided.
