Recognizes and honors all athletes from around the country who represented the United States and Michigan at the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London.

Notes that the 2012 Summer Paralympics was the largest in history with 4,200 athletes from 164 nations competing in 20 sports, including 227 U.S. athletes and 12 from Michigan.

Honors 12 Michigan athletes by name who competed in various sports including wheelchair basketball, track and field, swimming, cycling, equestrian, goalball, wheelchair tennis, and powerlifting.

Acknowledges that Paralympic athletes demonstrate courage, perseverance, and determination while promoting social awareness and helping to break down barriers and stereotypes regarding people with disabilities.

Commends the featured athletes for their commitment to athletic excellence and their representation of the United States and Michigan on the world stage.
