Honors Representative Marty Knollenberg upon completion of his six-year service representing Troy and Clawson in the Forty-first District.

Knollenberg is an Albion College graduate who operated his own small business for over twenty years and served as an Oakland County Parks and Recreation commissioner and Oakland County commissioner before his 2006 election to the House.

As chair of the Banking and Financial Services Committee, Knollenberg authored bipartisan legislation protecting Michigan homeowners from mortgage fraud and championed bills preventing abuse of campaign funds by elected officials.

Knollenberg promoted legislation to ensure fairness in school contract negotiations by preventing automatic pay increases for teachers working under expired contracts.
