Requires health insurers and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders in policies delivered or renewed in Michigan beginning 180 days after enactment.

Prohibits insurers from terminating coverage, denying claims, or limiting visits based on autism spectrum disorder diagnosis or treatment, and prevents denial based on educational or habilitative nature of treatment.

Establishes maximum annual benefits for covered individuals through age 18: $50,000 for ages 0-6, $40,000 for ages 7-12, and $30,000 for ages 13-18.

Allows insurers to require treatment review, request diagnostic observation schedule results (no more frequently than once every 3 years), and require annual development evaluations as conditions of coverage.

Defines covered treatments to include behavioral health treatment, pharmacy care, psychiatric care, psychological care, and therapeutic care when prescribed by licensed physicians or psychologists.
