Establishes reporting timelines: suspected abuse resulting in serious bodily injury must be reported within 2 hours; other suspected violations must be reported within 24 hours

Prohibits nursing homes from evicting, harassing, dismissing, or retaliating against patients, patient representatives, or employees who make reports

Allows any individual to report violations to the department and exempts reporters from duplicate reporting requirements if another person has already reported the same incident
