Allows employers to obtain noncompete agreements from employees that protect reasonable competitive business interests, provided the agreement is reasonable as to duration, geographical area, and type of employment or business.

Permits courts to modify unreasonable noncompete agreements to render them reasonable based on the circumstances and specifically enforce the modified agreement.

Applies the noncompete provisions to agreements and covenants entered into after March 29, 1985.

Requires employers to inform employees of noncompete agreement requirements at or before the time of the initial offer of employment for agreements to be enforceable as a condition of employment.

The disclosure requirement applies to agreements or covenants entered into after the effective date of this amendatory act.
