President, clerk, and treasurer in villages hold office for 2-year terms beginning November 20 after election and qualification.

Village trustees may be elected under one of two options: 3 trustees for 4-year terms at each biennial election, or all 6 trustees for 2-year terms if adopted by village ordinance.

Trustee terms begin on November 20 after election and qualification.

Council shall appoint a president pro tempore on November 20 each year, who presides in the president's absence and exercises presidential powers and duties.

Act becomes effective March 28, 2013, contingent upon enactment of Senate Bill No. 810 of the 96th Legislature.
