Allows pupils to opt out of the algebra II requirement by completing at least 1 additional science credit (4 total science credits) or at least 1 career and technical education credit meeting department standards.

Allows pupils to opt out of the 2-credit foreign language requirement by completing at least 2 additional science credits (5 total science credits) or at least 2 career and technical education credits meeting department standards.

Requires the department to post implementation guidelines within 30 days for career and technical education programs with embedded mathematics content that can fulfill algebra II requirements.

Adds subsection (7) to establish these alternative pathways while maintaining existing Michigan Merit Standard requirements for other credits and courses.
