Amends 1929 PA 312 (the Metropolitan District Act) to add Section 5a establishing gubernatorial removal authority for metropolitan district officers.

Governor may remove an officer of a metropolitan district for gross neglect of duty, corrupt conduct in office, or other misfeasance or malfeasance in office.

Individual seeking removal must submit written charges with verified affidavit to the governor, serve the officer with copies of charges, and provide proof of service to the governor.

Governor must provide the officer an opportunity to be heard in defense, and after a hearing, may issue a removal order if satisfied by sufficient evidence that the officer committed the charged misconduct.

Officer removed under this section is ineligible for election or appointment to any public office in Michigan for 3 years following removal; gubernatorial removal authority is in addition to the people's existing recall rights under the state constitution.
