Requires mandatory minimum 25-year sentence for offenders with 3 or more prior felony convictions who commit a subsequent serious crime, if at least one prior conviction is a "listed prior felony"

Permits sentencing to life imprisonment or lesser term for subsequent felonies punishable by 5+ years on first conviction, and up to 15 years for felonies punishable by less than 5 years on first conviction

Defines "listed prior felony" to include violent offenses, drug trafficking, sex crimes, and specific violations of Michigan vehicle code and penal code sections

Restricts parole eligibility until minimum sentence term expires, except with written judicial approval for parole at earlier date authorized by law

Effective October 1, 2012
