Amends 2002 PA 100 to add protections for elected members of public employee retirement system governing boards

Requires retirement systems and sponsoring political subdivisions to provide equal treatment of retirants and active members who are elected or seek election to governing board positions

Prohibits imposing more stringent or additional requirements on retirants compared to active members for board service, election eligibility, or election participation

Mandates retirants elected to governing boards receive compensation at no less than the minimum amount paid to active members in the same positions

Defines compensation to include stipends, taxpayer-funded work, and employment or contractual arrangements with the sponsoring political subdivision
