Department must verify that juveniles meet eligibility requirements under MCL 712A.18(1)(k)(ii), (iii), and (iv) before placement in a juvenile boot camp program.

Juveniles ineligible for boot camp, without available program space, or unable to be placed must be returned to the originating court for alternative disposition.

Juvenile boot camp placement duration must be between 90 and 180 days, with extensions of up to 20 additional days if the juvenile misses more than 5 days due to medical illness or injury.

Juveniles medically unable to participate for more than 25 days must be returned to the court that entered the disposition order for alternative placement.

Following boot camp, juveniles must complete 120 to 180 days of intensive supervised community reintegration in their local community.
