Department of Natural Resources must keep state land open to hunting unless closed for public safety, fish/wildlife management, or homeland security reasons, and must prevent any net decrease in acreage open to hunting.

Department shall submit annual reports by April 1 documenting locations and acreage of land closed to hunting and land reopened to hunting to compensate for closures.

Department is prohibited from promulgating rules that designate or classify land areas specifically to achieve or maintain biological diversity, and any such rules are void.

Licensed individuals may carry pistols on department property in compliance with 1927 PA 372, and department cannot prohibit or regulate such carry.

Repeals sections 35504-35506 regarding the joint legislative working committee on biological diversity and removes biological diversity conservation as a goal from state forest management requirements.
