Adds subsection (1)(ll) to prohibit selling, offering, or advertising mattresses as new or custom-made if they contain any materials or components from used mattresses.

Expands the list of unlawful unfair, unconscionable, or deceptive trade practices under Michigan's consumer protection act to include this mattress misrepresentation prohibition.

Maintains existing prohibitions on other deceptive practices including false advertising, material fact omissions, misrepresented product quality, and misleading endorsements.

Allows attorney general to promulgate rules implementing the act through administrative procedures, but prohibits rules creating unfair practices beyond those enumerated in the statute.

Exempts health-related and dental-related service providers and employers from social security number disclosure requirements under the consumer protection act.
