Requires individuals arrested for felonies or convicted of specified offenses (sexual assault, indecent exposure, prostitution-related crimes, and others) to provide DNA samples for identification profiling and genetic marker testing.

Applies to arrests for any felony offense and convictions for specific misdemeanors including disorderly person conduct, indecent exposure (MCL 750.335a), and prostitution-related offenses under MCL 750.451, 750.454, and 750.462.

Courts must order individuals convicted or found responsible for listed crimes to pay a $60 assessment, with courts authorized to suspend payment if the individual cannot afford it.

Assessment funds are distributed as follows: 10% retained by court for costs, 25% to the investigating law enforcement agency, and 65% to the Department of State Police forensic science division to cover DNA collection and profiling expenses.

Requires the Department of State Police to report annually by December 31 on DNA sample collection rates, identification profiling activities, and assessment collection to specified legislative committees.
