Department shall enforce the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact and may withdraw from or adopt amendments to the compact under specified articles.

Department must suspend hunting, fishing, and trapping license privileges of Michigan residents who fail to comply with citations issued in other participating states or who are convicted of violations in other states that would result in suspension under Michigan law.

Persons whose licenses are suspended under the compact are entitled to an evidentiary hearing under the Administrative Procedures Act, limited to challenging whether the violation occurred, whether it would warrant suspension under Michigan law, or whether the person is the proper party.

Persons must request a hearing within 20 days of suspension notice and must surrender their licenses within 10 days; failure to surrender licenses is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days imprisonment or a fine of $25 to $250.

Court must immediately notify persons who fail to answer citations or comply with court orders that hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses will be suspended if they fail to appear within 7 days or comply with orders within 14 days.
