Acknowledges nurses' roles in public health departments for preventing communicable diseases, immunizing children, and serving vulnerable populations including the elderly, disabled, and economically disadvantaged.

Designates May 10, 2012, as Nurses Day and May 6-12, 2012, as Nurses Week in Michigan to respect and promote the nursing profession.

Affirms the Michigan Nurses Association's leadership in enhancing and protecting the nursing profession and the dedication of registered nurses across the state.
