Designates August 2012 as Automotive Heritage Month in Michigan to honor the state's automotive industry heritage and inventors who established Michigan as the world headquarters for automobile manufacturing.

Recognizes Michigan's continued significance to the automotive industry, including 89 automotive facilities and 22 percent of the state's workforce directly or indirectly employed in the industry despite recent economic challenges.

Acknowledges the Woodward Dream Cruise as the world's largest one-day celebration of classic car culture, attracting over one million visitors and more than 40,000 vehicles annually to Michigan.

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Woodward Dream Cruise Board to recognize their efforts in showcasing Michigan's automotive heritage and encouraging investment in the state's future.
