Prohibits possession of firearms on the premises of depository financial institutions, churches, courts, theatres, sports arenas, day care centers, hospitals, liquor-licensed establishments, and public libraries.

Exempts security personnel employed by or contracted to these entities, peace officers, and persons licensed to carry concealed weapons from the firearm prohibition.

Allows firearm possession on these premises with explicit permission from the owner or the owner's agent.

Establishes violation as a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days imprisonment or a fine of up to $100, or both.

Adds public libraries as a new category of weapon-free zones under existing MCL 750.234d.
