Requires high school students to complete 4 credits in mathematics including algebra I, geometry, algebra II, and one additional math course, with an option to fulfill algebra II through approved career and technical education programs.

Mandates at least 2 credits in a language other than English (including American Sign Language) during grades K-12, with temporary flexibility for graduates through 2020 to partially substitute career/technical education or visual/performing arts for 1 credit.

Requires students to complete at least 1 online course or learning experience, or alternatively allows schools to integrate online experiences throughout their entire curriculum.

Allows the superintendent of public instruction to designate up to 15 specialty schools exempt from certain English language arts and social science credit requirements if they meet rigorous criteria including above-average ACT scores, 85% graduation rate, and 75% postsecondary enrollment.

Takes effect only if House Bill No. 4466 is enacted into law.
