Amends MCL 565.451a to allow recordable affidavits concerning unrecorded mortgages, requiring the affidavit to be accompanied by a copy of the unrecorded mortgage and indexed under both the affiant's name and the names of the mortgage parties.

Requires affidavits for unrecorded mortgages to state the mortgagor and mortgagee names, legal property description, property tax identification number, property address, and that the original mortgage was lost or destroyed.

Mandates affidavits certify the original mortgage was signed by both parties and delivered from mortgagor to mortgagee, and that the affiant either mailed a certified copy to the mortgagor or personally served the mortgagor.

Effective October 17, 2014, contingent upon enactment of House Bill No. 4638 of the 97th Legislature.
