Amends MCL 750.135a to prohibit caregivers from leaving children under 6 years of age unattended in any location or for any period posing unreasonable risk of harm or injury.

Creates graduated misdemeanor penalty of up to 93 days imprisonment or $500 fine for basic violations of the unattended child statute.

Increases penalty to misdemeanor with up to 1 year imprisonment or $1,000 fine if violation results in physical harm other than serious physical harm to the child.

Establishes felony penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment or $5,000 fine if violation results in serious physical harm to the child.

Establishes felony penalty of up to 15 years imprisonment or $10,000 fine if violation results in the child's death.
