MI HB4864

Amends the Privately Owned Cervidae Producers Marketing Act to allow a cervidae livestock facility to operate as both a cervidae livestock facility and a sporting swine livestock operation if the owner meets applicable requirements under both acts.

Allows a facility registered as both a cervidae operation and sporting swine operation that has paid all applicable fees under the sporting swine marketing act to be exempt from paying fees under the cervidae act.

Clarifies that registration under this act does not exempt persons or facilities from requirements imposed under any local, state, or federal law.

Requires registered persons to maintain records of production, purchases, and imports to establish proof of ownership and to produce documentation when transporting cervidae species, including shipment origin, registration copies, and shipping destination.

Bill is contingent on enactment of HB 4862, HB 4863, and two other companion bills of the 97th Legislature before taking effect.
