Allows the Michigan board of nursing to issue temporary licenses to registered professional nurses licensed in another U.S. state or Canadian province without requiring them to have completed all examination requirements.

Temporary licenses issued under this provision expire on the earliest of: one year after issuance, failure of required nursing exams (CGFNS or NCLEX), issuance of a full license, or failure to meet licensure requirements or complete the application process.

Requires the department to issue temporary licenses within 48 hours upon receiving proof that the applicant's license from another state or Canadian province is currently active and in good standing.

Maintains existing requirement that temporary license holders practice only under supervision of a fully licensed health professional in the same field, and cannot be supervised by someone holding a limited or temporary license.

Took effect immediately upon the Governor's approval on March 20, 2014.
