Adds second degree child abuse to the list of felonies that constitute first degree murder when a death occurs during the perpetration of that offense.

First degree murder conviction results in mandatory life imprisonment.

Applies to murders committed during the perpetration of, or attempt to perpetrate, second degree child abuse along with existing felonies including arson, sexual conduct offenses, first degree child abuse, controlled substance offenses, robbery, carjacking, burglary, home invasion, larceny, extortion, kidnapping, vulnerable adult abuse, torture, and aggravated stalking.
