Amends Michigan Penal Code section 81d to establish four tiered penalty levels for assaulting, battering, wounding, resisting, obstructing, or endangering a person performing official duties.

Basic violation: felony punishable by up to 2 years imprisonment or $2,000 fine; enhanced to 4 years/$5,000 fine if bodily injury requiring medical attention results.

Serious impairment of body function: felony punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment or $10,000 fine; death of victim: up to 20 years imprisonment or $20,000 fine.

Adds certified corrections officers to the list of protected persons under the statute, defined as state correctional officers certified under the Correctional Officers' Training Act of 1982.

Permits concurrent or consecutive sentencing for violations and allows additional charges arising from the same criminal transaction.
