Allows physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to treat patients for up to 21 days or 10 treatments without a prescription from a licensed health care professional.

Permits physical therapists to provide treatment without a prescription when patients seek physical therapy services for injury prevention or fitness promotion.

Requires physical therapists treating patients without a prescription to refer patients to appropriate health care professionals if symptoms indicate conditions beyond physical therapy's scope of practice.

Requires physical therapists to consult with the prescribing health care professional if patients fail to show reasonable progress within timeframes established by the board.

Bill effectiveness is contingent on simultaneous enactment of House Bills 5357, 5358, 5359, and 5360.
