MI HB5368

Amends the Estates and Protected Individuals Code (1998 PA 386) to add definitions related to digital assets and electronic information, including "digital account," "digital asset," "digital custodian," "digital device," "digital property," and "digital service."

Defines "digital account holder" as a decedent, protected individual, principal of a durable power of attorney, or settlor who has a terms-of-service agreement with a digital custodian.

Adds definitions for "electronic," "electronic information," and "electronic record" to establish terminology for technology-related provisions.

Clarifies that "property" includes digital property for purposes of the probate code.

Includes a tie-bar provision making this act effective only if companion bills HB 5366, HB 5367, HB 5369, and HB 5370 are also enacted into law.
