Amends the Public Safety Officers Benefit Act (2004 PA 46) to provide medical benefits to surviving spouses and dependent children of public safety officers who die in the line of duty on or after the bill's effective date.

Requires Michigan to provide surviving spouses and dependent children with medical benefit plans comparable to those offered to Michigan State Police trooper retirees, including any plan changes after the officer's death.

Medical coverage for surviving spouses terminates upon Medicare eligibility; coverage for dependent children terminates at the age limit or other terminating event specified in the Michigan State Police retiree medical plan, subject to federal law requirements under 42 USC 300gg-14.

Defines "dependent child" to include unmarried natural or adopted children, children lawfully placed for adoption, stepchildren, and children under 18 with whom the officer had full legal guardianship; excludes grandchildren of the deceased officer.

Designates the Office of Retirement Services to administer benefits and determine whether proposed medical plans are comparable to State Police retiree plans; takes effect 90 days after enactment.
