School-age children enrolled in nonpublic schools or homeschooled may participate in any extracurricular activity offered by the school district in which they reside.

School district officials must allow these students to participate on the same basis as pupils enrolled in the district school offering the activity.

School districts are prohibited from denying or interfering with participation based on the student's enrollment in a nonpublic school, homeschool status, or the identity of their school or homeschool provider.

"Extracurricular activity" is defined as any school district-sponsored or endorsed activity not part of the academic curriculum that occurs within or on school district property.
