Prohibits courts from ordering mediation in domestic relations actions unless both parties agree, if any of eight specified conditions exist.

Bars mediation when a personal protection order exists between parties, or when one party has engaged in stalking or aggravated stalking under Michigan Penal Code sections 411h and 411i.

Prohibits mediation if one party committed child abuse or neglect against a child of the other party, or committed domestic abuse against the other party.

Prohibits mediation if a party cannot negotiate effectively for themselves at mediation, or if mediation would endanger a party's health or safety, or for other good cause.

Prohibits mediation in personal protection order actions regardless of party consent, and defines "domestic relations action" to include divorce, custody, paternity, and related ancillary proceedings.
