• Motor vehicle repair facilities lose registration status if more than 30 days pass after expiration without submitting a renewal application.

• Administrator can issue verbal warnings, written warnings, cease and desist orders, or administrative fines up to $5,000 for first violations and $7,500 for subsequent violations within 7 years for operating without required registration.

• Violators must pay fines within 20 days and submit a properly completed registration application; fines can be referred to the Department of Treasury for collection after 60 days of non-payment.

• Administrator can require conspicuous display of cease and desist orders or written warnings on all public-facing doors until approval for removal is granted.

• Fines are reduced by 50% if the facility submits a registration application and fee within 20 days of the fine assessment and receives registration within 45 days.
