Amends the definition of "firearm" in 1952 PA 10 (MCL 752.841) to expand the scope of devices covered under the law.

Changes firearm definition from devices that propel projectiles through explosives, compressed air, gas, springs, levers, or mechanical devices to include any weapon that "will, is designed to, or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by action of an explosive."

Broadens the definition to capture weapons that can be readily converted to expel projectiles, not just those currently capable of doing so.

Effective date: January 1, 2015.
