Changes special township meeting notice requirements effective January 1, 2015 from posting in public places and newspaper publication to compliance with the Open Meetings Act, 1976 PA 267 (MCL 15.261-15.275).

Modifies township board meeting minutes publication requirements effective January 1, 2015 for townships with taxable value of $50,000,000 or more from newspaper publication to tier B public notice under the Local Government Public Notice Act with a link to meeting proceedings.

Allows publication of a synopsis of proceedings prepared by township clerk and approved by supervisor as sufficient compliance with meeting minutes notice requirements.

Establishes annual adjustment to the $50,000,000 taxable value threshold beginning January 1, 1998, calculated by Department of Treasury using Detroit consumer price index, rounded to nearest $1,000,000.

Conditional enactment tied to passage of Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 5560.
